This is the Life!!!

Yeah!!! This is the life, this is my life! After a long time of suffering and going hysterical everything looks like its going back to normality. I mean now we have more items in stores which is FABULOUS because I was being left without shampoo, deodorant and practically everything I had in use. I didn't even remember what taking a hot shower was like! You might think im crazy or something but believe me that when I say I didn't have these things, I mean it! Now I have everything I wished I had back which was my T.V, my hygiene utilities, my car, my education and everything that was mine. Even though I have my car back, I use it less for the fact that I am afraid that we can suffer another oil crisis. I only use my car for transportation to my school and back home. I mean imgaine!!! Having to go back with my horrible life style! NO THANKS! We have to BE CAREFUL with everything we us becuase our community is greatly dependent on oil. One of the things that we might not even think of associating with oil are plastic bags. In order to make the right amount needed of plastic bags for Americans, 12 million barrles of need to be used. YES thats right!! 12 MILLION BARRLES!!! Do you ask your self why so many barrels need to be used, well because in 1 year the average american uses 500 bags. Do you plan to use all 500 bags estimated for you in a year?? Well now thanks to everything I had to think about during this oil crisis I am using reusable bags. Ugh!! That bad expirience is over which I am super glad for! Everything has changed, a WORLD WITH OIL, is where I like to live!

Member of President Obama's Administration

According to our current president OBAMA, the most beneficial act for our country to do is EXPAND OFF SHORE DRILLING!! Now, with the Gulf Oil Spill, is it really the best decision that our president has taken?? I, as part of Mr. Obama's administration, firmly disagree with his plans. Off shore drilling is only causing a harm to the environment and the economy. Yes we might recuperate a part of it, but to clean up the mess, it takes decades. Yes, Obama has responded to this catastrophe, Homeland of Security has taken action in this oil spill but this does not mean that it does not affect our environment and economy. Only so many barrels can be recuperated but by tragedies like these we are exposing the wild life. As if that was not much, commercial fish and tourism all around the Gulf of Mexico will be greatly affected. People will not longer buy seafood due to the water contamination. Fellow citizens, make your judgement based on your thoughts and remember that you can not block the sun with one finger. The truth can not be hidden, and the TRUTH is that no matter how big or small the necesity is...off shore drilling IS NOT THE ANSWER!

The Elasticity Of Life!!!

Wow! This oil crisis is going on non stop. First, I had to deal with my cell phone running slower and slower each day, the amount of food that I had available is less, not only that but now I am not able to move around with my car. The college that I attend is quite far from my house, if I want to get their on time for my frist class I must be out of my house around 5'o clock. The bus and metro are my only options, taxiz don't exist anymore, and even if i would try to take one, they would try to take out every bill in my pocket. My job does not supply me with the amount of money necessary for me to survive. I am working fewer hours, the owner of El Super market closed alread 3 other stores he had opened. I am afraid that the next one to go out of business is the one I am currently working in. I need the money! I can't lose my job! I am taking fewer classes as it is in college, now it is taking me more time to finish school. Now I am spending more time at home trying to figure out what to do with my life. I don't have the money to pay for all the books and classes I need, especially when I have to pay for things I need like electricity. I can't live without electricity, to imagine no lights, hot water to shower with, wow I can;t take that. I mean, there are certain products that i cant replace and buy others for a cheaper price, but even the money is just not enough.

Where's my food!!

STARVING!!! One of the words that I wish never comes to be in my vocabulary and even more NOT in my HEALTH LIFE!!! Can you imagine your self wishing for food and not being able to have it? A real shock to your life. What about being a parent and not having any bread to feed your kids. Would you be able to handle the pain, the anger, the desperation of not being able to do anything for them? I know that I would not be able to but up to what my life has taken me I don't have kids. This oil crisis is impacting the whole world, not only with our wants like electronics but it is starting to affect us with our needs, our FOOD!!! You might ask your self what does food have to do with this oil crisis??? Well it relates to it more then you think. It's obvious that the food we eat, is not all produced here in California or in the US. We have food come in from all of the world. The bananas come from a long way down south. Bananas have to travel 2,199 miles to arrive in California due to their place of origin which is Guatemala. How about that Sprite soda that you love to drink. It is not from California. Oh no sir. It comes all the way from Atlanta, GA. It travels 1,944 miles just to give you that satisfaction that you love. NOW can you see how much your food is related to this oil crisis? If there is no oil to transport your food, what will you eat? Will you live off of air? I don't think that's possible. Not only that but the less nutrients, the less defense you have and the more diseases you contract.

Oh my god!!! What is this? What is happening to the world? Well I am running out of food. I am so sooo glad it is Friday, this means that tomorrow I can go down to Victory Park and buy what I need. I must go EARLY!!! I need to get food, but I am afraid that I won't be able to find what I NEED! Since organic food is hard to find, everyone tries to take as much as possible. Especially in Victory Park everything is sold quickly. The juicy, fresh, natural, smell and incomparable taste of organic food is what people look for the most. Those red apples that accompany my morning salad and orange juice, are the most wonderful thing that my mouth can taste day to day. My salad, the most healthiest food and my orange juice can't get compared to any other. Do you know why??? Well because just as the apples and vegetables that compose my breakfast, the oranges for my juice are grown ORGANICLLY!!! But what is most depressing and hard to accept is that this oil crisis may NEVER END!!!

Today in school I saw this video that wow is surprising. I mean man you know nothing about the world. When you finally come to the point when your eyes open to reality your views towords the world changes like never before. We think that everything in life will always exsist no matter what but reality is that just as humans have their end, everything in life also has its end. Hmm!! Who would have thought that someday we would be living life like if it was hell. Food shortage, less use of electricity, no sufficient oil to move around, etc.!!! Now if you thought that not having enough oil to move around in your car was the worst, how about no oil for AIRPLANES!!! Yes thats right!!! NO MORE FLIGHTS!!!

This oil shortage is affecting us in everyway of life. Summer is coming up, I was planning to spend my vactions in Miami with some family members and friends that are over there, but guess what??? My planes are CANCLED!!! There is not enough oil for all flights and the few oil that is left its being used for the transportation of goods. Now what must we do??? What can we do??? Everything is falling apart. Does this mean that I will never reunit with them? Oh no, no no that is not possible. Family and friends are the most important in my life, I can't live without them. Something must be done, I have to be with them! Life can take out things from me but not my loved ones! Oh God, PLEASE HELP US!!!

Supply and Demand

Gaining knowledge on one the most interesting crisis that is currently going on, can really make a difference in how you view the world. I took a quiz today that surprised me with the reality of the world. Our country by its self is suffering an oil crisis which is changing how people run their life. Trying to find new ways to accommodate their needs each day seems to be more difficult. The demand for oil increases each day even though not may people are willing and able to pay for it. For those who can, are taking advantage of what they are able to have. Unfortunately, I am not one of them, even if I need oil to get around places with my car, it is just not at the reach of my hand. Gas companies don't care about people like me, right now they are the ones making money. Yes, the big bucks are for them and you ask your self why? Well because they are the ones who supply people with the gas that they need for their cars which means that they can give a gallon for as much money they want. Now can we do anything about it? No, we cant change the price, so if you are a consumer, just like I was, then you must pay.

Uses Of Oil

Today when I turned on my T.V, I encountered my self with one of the most interesting and surprising information ever!! It is apparent that our world has changed dramatically, at the blink of our eye many different things are happening that we are not aware of. For example, the excessive use of oil, the US by its self is using 45% of its oil for gasoline. How crazy is that!!!This means that, together with the rest of the country, wwwwwwoooowww the number gets way BIGGER!!! Well that is not the only way that all fellow citizens use oil...we used oil in our food, clothes, paint, candles and even medicine. Yeah your read right MEDICINE!!! What helps us get cure is KILLING us as well. Now you may ask your self why or how. Well that little bottle that keeps your pills safe from any germs...is made out of petrochemicals. Not only that but your pain killers...well obviously they make a very well use of their name. They kill your pain but are killing you even slower...by using up oil to make that special active ingredient. I guess that "PERFECT" world we thought we were living in is just the WORST!!!
